#71. Scrabble!
I’m still trying to figure out all of the rules to Scrabble, but somehow, through a lucky combination of tiles, I beat my friends Amy & Jamie at Scrabble on Tuesday. It turned out to be a pretty close race, since we’re a bunch of smart cookies, and I look forward to playing again sometime (and probably losing… badly).
Amy & Jamie, I’d like to state, for the record, that I accept that you didn’t allow “treed,” even though I later found it in two dictionaries. I blame the wine.

But that’s not the FIRST time you’ve ever played Scrabble…is it?! Our banged-up old Scrabble game has traveled thousands of miles with us…and although we don’t play often, it’s the ONE board game my mate will play with me.

Aside from a game this summer (I was on a team for that one), I had only played a handful of times before. I look forward to many games in the future.
