#39. Trains, planes… well, just trains in this case
On August 11th, I took a cousin’s advice and traveled on the Acela from Providence to Penn Station in NY. It was a bit more expensive than an airline ticket, but factoring in the cost of a cab from the airport, it ended up the better deal.
The train was quiet, smooth, and speedy. The cheapest seats on the Acela are Business Class, so I was treated to plenty of legroom, a large, adjustable tray table, and a footrest. Although I didn’t make use of it, the Acela offers another advantage over air travel: an outlet in each row for powering laptops and charging phones. If only all of my commutes were this comfortable.
Quick Note: I took a picture of my ticket, rather than action shots of my train trip, since I traveled only a couple of days after the security issues at Heathrow. The view was lovely, though.

Are you saying that you didn’t want to take photos because of the security issues, or you couldn’t take photos because of the security issues?

I probably could have taken photos on the train, but there were a ton of anxious-looking security guards, so I figured I shouldn’t. I’m sure someone would have told me it was illegal, though.
